The Story of Glutathione

The miracle healing powers of vitamin C have been well-known to medical science for almost three centuries; however, it was not until 1954 that Dr. Denham Harman was able to provide the theoretical structure that would eventually explain why vitamin C has such powerful effects. Dr. Harman formulated a theory postulating that aging is caused by the ravages of free radicals, which are harmful particles that attack and destroy the cells of the body. Dr. Harman emphasized the important role to be played by antioxidants, which are powerful nutrients with the ability to counteract the effect of antioxidants. It was eventually discovered that vitamin C was indeed an antioxidant, and one of the most potent available in nature.

But despite all of its healing abilities, vitamin C is not the most powerful known antioxidant available to man: That would be glutathione.

WHAT IS GLUTATHIONE?

Glutathione is produced by the liver, and it can be found in every cell of the body. An amino acid complex, glutathione plays a critical role in cellular metabolism. In addition to protecting against the corrosive effects of oxidative stress, glutathione also detoxifies the body and works to strengthen the immune system. Over 90,000 articles have now been published in medical journals detailing the positive effects of glutathione, which may be as vital for human vibrancy and health as the air we breathe, the food we eat and the water we drink.

WHAT DOES GLUTATHIONE DO?

In addition to its role as a powerful antioxidant, glutathione is also a kind of biochemical fuel that helps keep the cells of our bodies healthy and functioning properly. The absorption of other antioxidants and nutrients by our cells would not be possible without the mediating effects of glutathione, which also protects our cellular mitochondria against the aggressive attacks of free radicals. Our immune system also uses glutathione as a fuel source, and when it is deprived of this important amino acid complex it can quickly begin to malfunction and deteriorate.

Glutathione helps other antioxidants and nutrients do their jobs properly. Without it, no amount of supplementation or healthy eating will produce the level of beneficial effects that are possible. In addition, since our immune system depends on this substance, a lack of it causes us to get sick more often. It also protects our mitochondria, which provide energy to our cells. Our mitochondria are very vulnerable to the effects of free radicals, so if glutathione wasn’t present they would deteriorate very quickly, and our cells would die.

Glutathione’s role as a detoxifying agent is especially important in modern society because of our collective addiction to chemicals, most of which can have toxic effects if not used carefully. We are exposed to countless numbers of chemicals in our daily lives, taking the form of air pollution, water and food contamination, and contact exposure to the skin. Even when chemical products are used correctly there may be risks; the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health has discovered that as many as 900 chemicals used legally in cosmetics and skin care are actually toxic to the human organism.

Glutathione production begins to decline after the age of twenty at a rate of about 10% per decade, and by the time a person reaches the age of 50, glutathione levels may be only 60% of what they used to be. Besides this natural decline, physical and emotional distress caused by illness, heavy metal or chemical contamination, and tension and stress also cause glutathione production to fall. Not surprisingly, given our hectic and stress-filled modern lifestyles, most people are seriously lacking in adequate levels of glutathione.

INCREASING YOUR PRODUCTION OF GLUTATHIONE

Glutathione cannot be taken directly as a nutritional supplement because it is destroyed by the acids in the stomach before it can be absorbed into the body. Intravenous injections can be somewhat effective, but not enough to make a decisive difference.

Research on the problem was at a standstill, until two scientists, Dr. Robert Keller and Dr. Herbert T. Nagasawa, finally unlocked the secret to boosting glutathione levels naturally. The key is to approach the problem indirectly, by furnishing the body with other vital nutrients that it needs to produce more glutathione naturally.

Keller and Nagasawa now have over 25 patents pending on their discovery, and they chose Max International to be the exclusive marketer and distributer of the nutritional supplements they were able to develop as a result of their findings.

The formula these medical pioneers created has been found to increase glutathione levels by an astounding 400%. This makes it the most powerful stimulant for glutathione production that has ever been put on the market, and Max International is proud to be the company chosen to bring this amazing discovery to the public across the world.

You cannot purchase these amazing glutathione boosting health products in a store. They are only available from Max International Associates, such as Max USA Team.
